Ubuntu 11.10: Touchpad: Multitouch not working (Dell Inspiron 17R N7110)

    Hi,

I bought a Dell Inspiron 17R and installed Ubuntu 11.10 (64-bit) on it. I noticed that I am unable to use multitouch when using Ubuntu (it works in Windows 7 on the other partition).

I would like to be able to use two-finger-scrolling for instance, but right now I can only use the touchpad as a regular mouse, for pointing.

When looking up the Mouse-options, I am unable to find any options related to the touchpad.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Thank you in advance!

I managed to resolve the problem by installing the driver from the link in this thread:
