    Linux Kernel 3.2

How would I upgrade to the 3.2 Linux Kernel while still using Ubuntu 11.10?

Ubuntu compiled up to RC4 I think for 11.10, but the final is going to be in 12.04 - it is of course released now. Have a look at this guide - don't forget to change the numbers to match your kernel.

You can use the mainline kernel ppa

Note: This kernel will NOT have the ubuntu patches, most notable Apparmor.

I think you can install without compiling.

Have a look here. I'll try tonight.

Also this thread is on the same subject.
