I have realized that very few intelligent people want to argue with me. It seems that I tend to have achieved a point where my ability to effectively debate is enough to deter all but stupid people from arguing. And they don't understand that they have been beaten and keep running in circles. So exhausting

Still alive. Just post something quite interesting to kick off a debate, opinions will fly, it will get heated then a mod will close it to preserve the peace. You could even word it as a question to make it look like you genuinely don't know you're being inflammatory i.e 'was 1940's Germany a hip place to be?' Another method would be to over-think a simple question and start going into great detail so everybody gets bored & just loses interest. Sometimes it's just old age that gets a thread

Except for 2 things:

1. That doesn't kill a thread, it closes it
2. The mod closing the thread always posts that the thread is closed so "they win"

Unless the question has really been answered to all (reasonable) satisfaction there is certainly no 'win' in closing a thread.
