    Unhappy My audio system has problems

    Version: Ubuntu 8.04
    Laptop: SONY VAIO SZ55
    Problems: When I plug in my earphone, the speakers still sound, but it is silence in the earphone. All the things perform excellent under win xp.
    I check the audio device under win xp: SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC.
    Please help me

    Open the sound mixer (speaker icon) and connect your headphone and keep muting an unmuting the different options. There is an option called "Headphone".
