i am not going argue about this any more,iv,e got more important things to do than argue with someone who is so experienced in linux that that he couldn't until very recently edit a menu.

In any case, the argument here is just splitting hairs. Yes, Testing is initially based on Stable, but people use Testing for the new packages, not the old ones.
