(22.04) Wrong time upon Boot/UP - settlet after login

    Hello ,

i noticed an issue with the time on the laptop<

it would happen that in BIOS i have set correct time for MiddleEurope eg. 14:15 hours/minute 09.08.2024 day/month/year

and when i bootup Ubuntu it would show instead 16:15, and correcting after login/password to 14:15.
when i open "date&time" automatic internet time is toggled ON, TimeZone is set to CEST "Rome" ,but why would it change then every reboot to another time?

do i need to set UTC timezone in BIOS or what?

EDIT> this problem is solved when in BIOS time is set to UTC (Greenwhich time), it seem better since the laptop is from anothery country.

    thank you very much.

Please use the "Thread Tools" button to mark this thread as SOLVED so people wanting to help don't waste their time and people with similar problems can easily find your solution (which is what I would recommend). Always set your Linux computers to UTC in all hardware clocks.
