I do not understand what it is exactly you are trying to do. Upgrade Ubuntu 22.04 LTS to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS? What method are you using?
Software & Updates>Updates tab>Notify me of a new Ubuntu version should be set to <For long term support versions> After doing an update/upgrade you should be offered an option to upgrade 22.04 to 24.04.
