Fedora Linux 38 Workstation Edition: No Desktop??
Hello All,
For those who Fedora is your primary OS, pardon my ignorance if that be the case!
I have been using Ubuntu since Dapper Drake. I tried the above distro in a virtual machine. To my shock, there is no desktop--no taskbar, nothing, only settings and shutdown.
Clicking "Activities" zooms out, reveals a taskbar and my virtual desktops. To function, to do work, I can open a program in each virtual desktop.
But that is positively bizarre to me and a deal-breaker for this highly regarded distro. I have no functional desktop. The only thing I can do is toggle apps. Without a traditional desktop, I feel
I have no "home" and it's very anxiety producing, not at all a comfortable computing experience.
Is this the way this distro works? Any way to get a traditional desktop with Fedora?
Thank you!
