As the Everest Semiconductor ES8336 sound card is becoming more popular among Chinese laptops, more and more people are experiencing problems with audio on Linux-based systems because there is currently no driver available in the Linux kernel, at least not for the ES8336 - AMD combination.
I am not a driver expert, but I understand that developing a device driver is usually a job for the hardware manufacturer, who has the knowledge to do it quite easily. However, I believe there are also many people who can reverse engineer hardware and develop working drivers. If anyone is able and willing to undertake this challenge, I would like to say that I am available to provide support with testing (I still have Windows in dual-boot, so I can help figure out how the sound card works). Thanks for your attention.
