I hope i am in right place , My dad gave me his Mac. It was a used Mac and Ubuntu system , My question is how do I deal with its hard drive? I'm going to privatize it. I admit I've never used a Ubuntu system before , So everything becomes strange .

Hello gnarsery,
What do you mean by privatise? Are you going to keep the operating systems or format it or are you just looking to get the files of it?
If you just want a clean hard drive with nothing on it, then use can format the entire thing by using a partition editor (that works on a mac) or if you still want the Ubuntu system then you can use the Ubuntu installer and I think that it should keep the Windows system as well as remove the files from the Ubuntu system.
Probably shouldn’t take my advice too seriously as it has been a while since I played around with Ubuntu. It is probably better to wait for someone more experienced to help you out.
I glad that I helped you out,
If you simply just want to format everything of your drive then something like GParted (https://gparted.org/). It will let you delete the entire thing without having to play around with Ubuntu. All that is required is to make sure it is booted from another drive.
Hope everything goes well with your Mac.
You want to delete Ubuntu install on that Mac or clean Mac drive? For later question, you can refer to this guide for more details: https://www.tunesbro.com/wipe-mac-clean-to-sell.html
