When I saw the new bootsplash and cursor thingy rotating, it looks very similar to Firefox. I though why not taking the Ubuntu logo instead?
There's a bootsplash? I thought that got pushed back to the next release?

Excuse for excessive game playing, #4: "Game? No, I think this is some kind of computer virus that has taken over the screen. I've been trying to get rid of it all day."
sorry to overexcite you I meant the log in screen

IMO it would look really lame if the "loading" cursor would be a rotating ubuntu logo. But that's just me.
I love my ubuntu.
Sounds like a wonderful idea for Breezy!
What I'd find would be quite cool would be an animated Ubuntu GDM screen. I believe that's something possible (even easier than with KDM). What about it? Boy, I'm eager to have a Linux desktop with lots of [optional] eye candy, maybe something like Altimit OS (a fictional OS seen in the .Hack// series). Any other fans out there? As for the cursor, I believe it could get annoying with time if you put the logo in it. Especially because you can't change it easily (I used gcursor to be able to get a huge red cursor, but that's only because I wasn't able -- for some odd reason -- to get the grounation cursor theme installed)
In case it would be helpful, I created the ubuntu logo in inkscape just for fun to help me learn. I imagine it would be helpful to create clean rotated pictures of the logo. At any rate, here it is: edit: I changed the file since it sucked and I learned new techniques (tracing and accurate snap/rotation) to make it near balls-on perfect.
