    Ubuntu touch abandoned?

Are there still plans for there future of ubuntu touch?
It looks to me That the OS didnt improve a lot since it release on the .Bq phone.
It stil misses a lot basic functions you aspect from a smartphone OS and is very buggy.
In the past the idea was to make the os a full functioning ubuntu with a mobile layer That can run desktop apps will this still be the future ?
That it one Day will be a true alternative to android and is.

Well, the first BQ phone was released only about six months ago, so you might be a bit premature on the verdict of history.
Those BQ phone images have had six updates since then.
Ubuntu touch is still in active development.

    Read about the future

Ubuntu Touch = Ubuntu for Devices = Ubuntu Phone

Ubuntu Phone = Mir + Unity 8 + app confinement + Over the Air (OTA) transactional updates + Click packaged apps + phone technology.

Ubuntu Core + Snap packaging = Snappy Ubuntu Core.

Ubuntu Personal = Snappy Ubuntu Core + Mir + Unity 8 + app confinement + OTA transactional updates - apt-get - deb packages.

Ubuntu Personal converged with Ubuntu Phone = "It is Ubuntu, Jim, but not as we know it."

There are Ubuntu Personal images available for installation in KVM or for flashing to a USB stick but not as an ISO image. It is not yet a desktop OS. Time will tell.

    Regards.
It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.
