    how to download file from wget command

    dear admin,
    i have installed wget on my fedora22 32 bit workstation , can anybody please help me how to use this command and download files from website. i tried to download a file form filehippo but i only downloads the webpage in html format and not the .exe file.
    please help me.

    I don't know fedora really, nor filehippo, but can you possibly use a web-browser and right click on the filehippo .exe link and choose "Save link as".

    That will normally download the file that the link points to rather than the html page itself.

    wget has many options, as a "man wget" will show, but "wget <address_of_the_target_file>" will download that file to the current directory. The address needs to point to the actual file the user wants to download.
