    Windows 8 and 13.04

Sorry to not be here to frequently however things just always work so well. I'm still dual booting 10.04 & Win XP. My laptop is just to old and feeble for any of the newer versions. The lappy is now having some death throws and it will soon be time to buy a new one. Will I be able to, as easily as 10.04 & Xp, to set up dual boot with 13.04 and Win 8? I looked for some sort of tutorial but couldn't find any.
    Thanks.

    Re: Windows 8 and 13.04

Am using a samsung laptop np270e which came with windows 8 installed am a fan of ubuntu so splti my 500 gb hardrive in to 2 partitions 250 each installed windows 8 first then ubuntu 12.04 lts installed using the install use alongside windows option ran perfect no problem's. subsequently i changed windows 8 for 7 no problem's either there but now am just going to use the full hdd for ubuntu. I hope this answers you question.
As for a tutorial you shuold not need one just partition your harddrive while installing windows 8 once installed install ubuntu any version aslong as it's fit for your cpu architecture ie 64 bit x86 or 32 bit when installing ubuntu click install alongside windows 8 wait for install to complete then enjoy

So it seems like the process is still the same.

10.04 is out of support and should be deleted.
If you are low on hardware then Lubuntu 13.04 would be a good option.

Yes I suppose technically it is out of support however it still does the job and I do get periodic updates so there still must be some support happening.

Exactly, you get some support, but most of the packages are not maintained.

By the way, to what do you refer with 13.04 in the title?

That is hardly surprising, but why do you refer to Ubuntu 13.04 in the title when only 10.04 is mentioned in the thread?
