Earlier I was even showing the Firefox file menu with one of the function keys.
I full screen using the silverlight full screen button, but still shows a gnome title bar at the top.

So how to make it take over the entire screen as before?
I am using the gnome3 desktop.

    Re: Netflix On Ubuntu

    Solved it
Too many chrome tabs open, perhaps 25 and a slow video card. Closed chrome and F11 toggles full screen ok.
But also found out cant do that if a video is running, so do the F11 key in the movie selection page.

    F10 will show the menus.
If you click help then about, you can do an update to firefox.
It will run and update Firefox. Fiefox will update to ver 16
I did that and it is still fine.

So I am now using ver 16 funnelcake with netflix

You can also open a new tab, but it acts oddly

I dont see a way to opne an address bar to type a http web place.

You're not supposed to. The Netflix-desktop package is just supposed to be a standalone app. You can, however, use Firefox itself (the one installed in WINE) to browse around.

OK, it's working now... but the video's a little too jumpy for me, lol. But then, netbook etc.

Alt+D lets you go to other websites within the netflix app, if you want to... Lovefilm.com instant streaming wasn't working for me at all, though

My video is smooth enough to watch. I can tell the video card lacks the power to feel effortless.

You can update to firefox v16 from firefox, just hit F10, click help about and upgrade it. Everything is still working including the version I have in the wine directory which shows adresses and tabs.

Silverlight 5 did some big improvements using hardware acceleration on the video. Wonder if that version could ever work with this.

Yeah, the desktop app doesn't work for me (it complains it can't find Firefox, so it's probably something fixable) but launching firefox in wine totally works

I tried the same method. Installed Mono and nothing happens. Nothing works. Hmmm... I also got complaints about Gecko (?) and being unable to create a certain Firefox directory. I guess I'll purge and try to re-install?

A purge is a good idea.
