"No GLXFBConfig for depth 32" What does this terminal output mean?

I cannot enable my desktop effects, I'm not sure why this is. I do have the proprietary driver installed.
I have found that running compiz from terminal results in:

compiz
compiz (core) - Warn: No GLXFBConfig for depth 32

Launching fallback window manager

So my question is might this have something to do with not being able to enable desktop effects?
