Flash in Hardy Heron glitches and skips sound in videos.

Ok... I'm running 8.04LTS. I've noticed that with opera and firefox all my videos are glitching and freezing on youtube, but no where else and it does not happen when playing music on project playlist either and I notice firefox is stupid slow like opera and sometimes I'll be typing something then have to stop typing as I watch the letters appear 5 seconds later. I have no idea whats up. Can anyone help?

Flash is working bad for me on Jaunty too. I have managed to improve performance with some tweaks, but it still stutters sometimes depending on the video/site/player, with spikes in CPU.

You might find some useful tips in the Firefox optimization and troubleshooting thread. I have managed to increase Firefox 3.0 performance by 100% and even more with Firefox 3.5.
