What do you use Ubuntu for?

Well lets see, It plays ma TV, It fetches ma mail, shows ma face thingy. Tells me da time o day, urganizes ma folks list, plays da radio, takes care o da bank. heck it even folds @ home laundry i think.

Linux just makes me feel at ease without too many data-minig issues or malware attacks

It's very capable with so much support
Gonna try flashing an android rom to a 7" tablet via ubuntu
Then my acer 10" tablet to hopefully clear it of malware that i can't remove even with factory reset

Linux was my tv back about 1999? when redhat was making an appearence & the 2K bug didn't bother it
I applaude the people who use so much time & expertise to deliver such a fine product

Everything that I ever used Windows and Mac OSX for can be done on Ubuntu as well or better.

Yes I do. And let's be honest.

I do use it as my phone, and in calling, sms and other phone related activities it works perfectly. I have persuaded my team at work and my close family to use Telegram.

However, it lacks apps. I can make it do most things I want it to with hacks/ssh but for me, it needs BBC iPlayer/upnp dnla/chromecast etc etc and a browser that will cope with adds.

I'm using Ubuntu on both my desk- and laptop: web browsing, email, listening to music, watching news, Skype, writing...In short, for just about everything that can be done with a PC.
