sound & firefox problem ubuntu12.04

Hi Guys,
When I open firefox I cant right click, if I do so, my firefox will be suspended and i have to restart it... I mean force to exit firefox.
another problem is that there is no sound in my system, when I click on sound icon on task bar, no thing appear... I try to go to system setting but when I open sound tab my window eill be suspended too, and one again i have to force to exit this window. When i open any web with sound, my firefox will be suspended too...
So what is the problems??? Please help me

Hi try in a Terminal the following commands:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade

Thanks for replying, I tried but nothing happen.
somethime when I restart the system ubuntu will show the mesg like "GNOME setting Daemon - not responding" I have used ubuntu for 3-4 months but this is the first time I met this mesg ( this problem also)

if so, try to find out what with your taskmanager and tell us.

when did the problems start? right after installation or later?
