A coworker sent me a link to "Screen Brush" that lets him draw on the screen, but it's for Mac only. I tried a couple of packages for Linux like "Draw On Your Screen" and gromit-mpx, but they only draw on my screen... participants in a video don't see the drawing.
meet.jit.si has a drawing feature (or it did last time I looked). It isn't for markup of existing documents, but for that, you can just open the document in the editor and make changes live. Everyone can see it. The jitsi drawing stuff can be a little obnoxious, since anyone can start a new canvas and it will take over the entire screen. Jitsi Meet is a little too democratic, so it may not fit, but if you want more control, you can run your own instance and lock it down. There's also BigBlueButton which has been around a very long time, pre-WebRTC.
I'm on the same boat here: sharing my screen oover Google Meet (whether one of my 2 screens fully or a Chrome tab only) and I'm the only one seeing my rectangles with the Draw On Your Screen widget. They don't show in the sharing screen. Did you find any workaround? Any other tool? Thanks!
