Is there a pre-release available for Windows as well?
...So am I the only one feeling a bit off, using a random avatar on the Internet? I mean, it's your second personality, your face in the online world.
I made mine in GIMP :)
I guess I could try...

Shapes like these are supposed to be drawn in vector drawing applications (such as Inkscape or Illustrator). After that you import them into a raster editing application (such as GIMP or Photoshop).
I took your wallpaper and tweaked the colors here and there, because I got bored while doing homework... :O
All credits to TC of course.
Here's what I came up with:
...
How can I batch produce this effect in GIMP? I need to do it on a hundred UI elements:

PS, don't mind the Windows interface. I won't bite, I swear ;)
Exactly my thoughts. To me, this would be iMurder and a waste of money...
I love posts like these. When everything seems dark and hopeless, out comes the knight in shining armor with his sword in his left hand and a live CD in his right.
That would be expectable I guess.
Double post.
How about I give Wubi its own partition? Yes, I know I could just install Ubuntu the normal way, but I'm not even thinking about doing actual partition messing unless I have a backup...
I still have my money and I don't get calls from Nigeria. Yup, I'm safe. :D
1. I'm not afraid to lose Wubi as such. It would be a shame to lose it, but I'm only using Linux to freely customize my system the way I want it, not anything serious.
2. I'm more afraid that Wubi...
Remove the text and logo, it's killing the art, badly.
But otherwise, it's one of the best pieces I've ever seen around here.
I just don't have an external disk (nor can I afford one), so I thought it would be easier to go with Wubi, since it's "risk free".
I've had many many hard resets in my life, without ever losing anything.
So let's say I'm browsing the web with Firefox. Completely random, my computer decides to freeze up. Would this hurt...
If you cannot access the tor website, you can try go through a proxy server to bypass the censorship.

I've been wanting to try Wubi for some time now, because I'm afraid that Windows 7 will break something together with a dedicated install of Ubuntu. Then, today I just found out that Wubi appears to...
Are you using Compiz? Glitches like that happen now and then, just relog or restart Compiz.
A "tooltip" like that would be better suited in the Help section bundled with the application. A tooltip is just what it is, a tooltip, not a whole page.
Tooltips are small helpers for visual...
This thread is OVER FOUR YEARS OLD. Talk about necro.
Okay maybe that was a bit rude of me.
1. No one has a 1024x637 screen. You need to release it in proper resolutions before you can call it a "wallpaper"
2. I have nothing against the two horses...
Since 9.10 is very problematic with dual booting, with the new grub and all I was thinking about just dual booting Windows 7 and 9.04 instead.
But I want to make sure; are the boot problems only...
But how much slower? 20-30%? And is it only disk performance that decreases, seeing as Wubi writes to a file instead of directly to the disk.
I think the poll is awfully biased towards your own feel-good.
