Record what you are doing/ desktop

Hey again, I was wondering what programs are out there as an Alternative for Hypercam2.

Anything will do that will record what I am doing on my computer.
*I want an alternative, not WINE with Hypercam2.

    Thank you guys so much!

My gosh haha... When I tried to record something, even soemthing very, very simple, of just clicking the mouse it was extremely slow. I tried quitting, then opening it again, but it was SO slow, I restarted my computer. I removed it hahaha.

Any other suggestions? Or is there a way to remove the "slowness"?

    gtk-recordmydesktop

BUT you have to tweak the settings of the application, default settings are very slow if you are trying to record something like compiz
