[SOLVED] How do you make a link to a single post?

I used to be able to do this, maybe I haven't done it in a long time I forgot how. But Sometimes I would like to make a link to a single post. I think it's supposed to go something like

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=somenumber

and then you just add

&postcount=x

to the end. Where X is the post # you want to show. But it doesn't work when I do that, it just shows the whole thread starting at the beginning.

Just click on the number next to the post. That will open the post in a new tab/window. Highlight the URL and that's the link to the single post.

For example, the link to the post I'm writing right now is http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...81&postcount=2

Right clic on post number > copy link address then paste it (or ctrl-v). Yes I know, I'm lazy
