    Adding Thunar to Gnome's dock/launcher

After using another environment for a long time, I've recently switched to Ubuntu Gnome, which I appreciate overall. I do have a few issues, but the main one right now lies with Thunar. I prefer using it over Nautilus (personnal preference), but although it works with no particular issue, it doesn't appear if I try it as a quick command; furthermore, when I start it in a terminal it appears in the dock as an active application, but contrary to every other software, a right click on its icon there doesn't give me the option to add it to my favorites.

What must I do to be able to do that ?

    Thanks
