I have a desktop computer that I have connected to my home wifi router via an old mobile phone with usb tethering.
The problem is that the phones usb tethering gives my desktop a completely different ip range and I can't access samba share on my desktop from other computers on the network. I can't even see it or ping it because of the different range.

Has anyone found a work around for this?
I want to be able to have network access to my desktop from other devices on my network.

Im not new to linux so I'm happy dig in the cli or config files, whatever is necessary.
