    Question Lubuntu LXDE panel not appearing on login after upgrade to 17.04

    Hi all

    Lubuntu 17.04 LXDE 32 bit
    LXpanel 9.3.1ubuntu1

    The system was just upgraded from 16.04 -> 16.10 -> 17.04
    On completion of upgrade and first boot after LXDE loaded. System reported it had encountered a internal error
    the details of which pointed to LXDE panel. The panel is not present it flickers briefly on at start before disappearing
    By running "lxpanel" in terminal a default panel appears.

    The strange thing is on approximately 10% of logins/boots it works The panel loads correctly!
    II have tried changing the panel config(~/.config/lxpanel/<Profile>/panels) from the LXDE website to no avail.
    https://wiki.lxde.org/en/LXPanel

    Is this issue known or reported elsewhere?
    What else can I do here?
    Should I just do a fresh install of 17.04?

    Regards

    Yes, that will be my recommendation. I never do an upgrade myself.
    Bringing old hardware back to life. About problems due to upgrading.

    Don't use this space for a list of your hardware. It only creates false hits in the search engines.
