I am using Ubuntu 14.04 with xfce, and two monitors (a 1080p and a much smaller 720p). I use different desktops for each monitor.

When I log in to xfce, I end up with a single desktop, cloned on the second monitor. Upon opening Catalyst, I see a popup message:

AMD Catalyst Control Center has automatically configured your system for maximum desktop size. Press Apply in Catalyst Control Center to accept this configuration or Cancel to revert changes.
Catalyst shows it set to multiple desktops, and if I hit "Apply" it sets the display correctly.

The popup has an option to "Don't show me this again" but no option to disable the autoconfiguration. I also can't find an option in Catalyst's preferences.

Is there a way to tell Catalyst to stop autoconfiguring things already and just use what I had set it to previously?

Thanks.
