Ubuntu 16 Fresh Install , Package Installer Issue (Help Please)

i installed opera using the software center , it not show up when i searched for it , using the start menu. but when i reboot , it shows up in the start menu. is there any way to fix it. its really annoying that i have to keep restarting the computer every time i install something , and i know this is not normal since i used to use unbuntu 14.04 on an other computer for bout a year ago... So is there anyway i can fix this issue so i dont have to restart my computer everytime i install something outside of command line. since when i install something useing apt-get it shows up right away.

This is a bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...y/+bug/1506744 which I have also faced many times. From the bug report it would seem that a patch has been submitted and that it needs to be reviewed, accepted and implemented. So hopefully soon this issue will be resolved.
