    Ubuntu LiveUSB doesn't work

Hi, I installed Ubuntu 14.10 to my 8gb TDK usb flash. It does boot but after choosing try ubuntu, all that appears is this screenshot.

I don't have an OS currently installed on my desktop.

What should I do? What's wrong with my live USB?

    Thank you.

How did you "install Ubuntu 14.10" to your flash drive? Please also describe the computer: CPU, memory, video, etc.

A little Googling showed that "nomodeset" might help.

    Re: Ubuntu LiveUSB doesn't work

I installed ubuntu through pendrivelinux universal usb installer.

    Specs of my rig:
    Intel I7 3770
    ECS z77h2-ax
    2 - 8gb Kingston hyper blu memory
    inno3d nvidia 9800series 1gb gddr3
320gb Western digital caviar blue HDD

My Intel SSD can't be detected so I unplugged it. I'm trying to use ubuntu thru live USB because my former liveDVD doesn't work anymore.

I'll check the link you gave. Thanks.

Did you select "verify" from the opening menu? There could possibly be corruption of the files on the USB, not really likely, but certainly possible.

I drink my Ubuntu black, no sugar.

I tried 'Check disk for defects' but still gave me the same result.

When you get to the 'Try Ubuntu' 'Install Ubuntu' options screen at boot, hit F6 and choose the option nomodeset. Proceed to 'Try Ubuntu'. Any different?

I tried to hit F6, I didn't see the Nomodeset option. Still the same try ubuntu options.
