I have gmtp / mtp-tools / mtpfs installed. Microsoft/Nokia are reported as using the standard MTP protocol for their Lumia devices, but something somewhere just doesn't work.
I can connect the phone if I plug it in before logging into Ubuntu, that was pretty easy to solve. I can retrieve files from the phone this way. If I do it to put files on, though, the phone simply cannot see them. No file managers see them, the audio player doesn't see them, etc
I can use Feem Wifi to successfully put files on the phone from my laptop, but it's slow and it's almost impossible to keep the phone awake for long enough to transfer anything over a few hundred MB.
Any ideas how to get USB working properly?
