    Wget with TWiT Live

    Hi Ubuntu Geeks,

I am a complete noob so please be easy on me. I am in Australia but like to watch a show called "The Tech Guy" when I get up (I also like Tech News Today, but i'm not here to talk about that) So I want to make a wget command and use it in crontab. But of course I need it to stop at some point. Is there any way to put in a time out or something to stop downloading. PS I am downloading from their live stream link which is 24/7 and will never stop!!

Anything you could do to help would be appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Ben

So...you want to record a segment of a stream?
You can use a media recorder for that. VLC, for example, can be set to record-start and record-stop times.

I tried to figure out how to record in VLC but can't. I got to the Streaming/Saving part and it just recorded this piece of gray color for 3 seconds or something. What am I doing wrong??
