A thing discovered and kept to oneself must be discovered time and again by others. A thing discovered and shared with others need be discovered only the once.
This universe is crazy. I'm going back to my own.
ok, do not do it !!
I removed libc6 from another Linux. It was totally unusable after that. Couldn't even replace the package.
So, no, don't.
BACKUPS are unsexy — until you discover you should have done one yesterday.
Spare your nerves and do one before you upgrade or install.
Do you have a 64 bit system? The reason I ask is that the stuff that is causing the problems look like 32 bit libraries. You probably need to remove them although because the package manager is broken it probably won't let you.
Have you installed the ia36-libs (or whatever it's called) metapackage because afaik it is now obsolete which might be causing the problems. This might have been pulled in if you are using a 3rd party repo. You might want to try purging all 3rd party repos and see if that helps.
My guess is that you are going to have to get rid of those libraries though and it could be messy.
By the way, you accept the eula that comes with fonts package with the tab key
