I have a strange problem. 12.04 LTS 64 bit. The Acer z5610 is an all-in-one device with a touch-screen.
With the live CD the monitor runs just fine. But installed, lightdm runs (I can hear the drum-roll), but the monitor enters LCD TEST MODE and just cycles through a range of colour tests.
I've tried installing the proprietary drivers, and a number of other suggestions, but I haven't found a solution. Any pointers?
