    Ubuntu 12.04 lost Unity?, now using Unity 2D

    I believe I accidentally uninstalled Unity when uninstalling Compi. Now only i can use Unity 2D.

    Please let me know what's package name for Unity to be installed.

    The package here in 13.04 is "unity".
    Look in the software centre > history > removals
    to see what else you may have uninstalled.

    Unity is a plugin for compiz...so yeah, remove compiz you remove unity.

    just reinstall unity

    sudo apt-get install unity

    The compiz unity plugin work together with unity
