    POSTFIX SMTP Help

    Hi All,

I have setup POSTFIX on our server and can receive email and pop3 into it to grab mail. So far so good. However I cannot connect a mail client to send mail via smtp through the server itself.

I have followed the articles at:

    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Po...asicSetupHowto
    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Postfix

I keep receiving the following message

Server response: 535 5.7.8 Error: authentication failed: generic failure code(535)

Here is my configuration for /etc/postfix/main.cf (removed domain info)

    Code:
    # See /usr/share/postfix/main.cf.dist for a commented, more complete version

    # Debian specific: Specifying a file name will cause the first
    # line of that file to be used as the name. The Debian default
    # is /etc/mailname.
