video server

Hello,

i am searching simple video server for ubuntu.
I have CCTV camera which connected to ubuntu and video is fine.
Now need some video server, so i can watch camera over network (http).



any suggestions?

Looks like there's also something called "motion" and something else called zoneminder.

Hi vmicovic.

For a simple solution take a look at VLC. It can both stream the source on the server side, and play it back on a client.

Just a thought.
