Question limit network connection for guest account

    hi,

i am curious if ubuntu has a default for setting up a guest account with limited router connection bandwidth and with banned sites?

i have googled a lot and found no satisfying answers or direct answers.

    thanks.

    sincerely,

If you want to manage bandwidth, do it at router level. And not at the client / server level.

For some reason ALOT of people on this site wanna manage the network at the server level. And to me that makes no sense at all.

And if your router aren't "high tech" enough, to go amazon.com and buy a used Cisco router that can accomplish your goal. They cost what 30 dollars? Less?

    hi Drenriza,

    thanks for the response.

i guess i am looking at the problem in a different light. i will keep that in mind.

i was just curious if such a feature exists at server/client level for if it does i will study on it.

i am not that techy so i take my time on studying on things and practicing how to get there.

    cheers!
