    Unity on 10.04

    Hi

I have a question about Unity and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS installed on a Asus U45J laptop.

I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS because the upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10 failed, and I prefer a stable system over fancy new features. There is one feature I miss very much though, and that is Unity. I have watched this video showing the installation procedure on 10.04. Still I am not sure if it is a good idea to install Unity on 10.04, simply because it is not added by default.

So my question is: is there any reason that I should not install Unity on 10.04 LTS?

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Thomas Gabrielsen

My guess is that installing unity in 10.04 would rob you of the stability that you're looking for in the first place. I'd just do a fresh install of 11.10 or 11.04 which will be more stable then an upgraded system.
