    Minimal Install only boots with USB attached

    I installed a Ubuntu minimal installation and it will only boot with the install USB plugged in.

    Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe GRUB got installed to the USB drive?

    It sounds like GRUB is installed on the USB drive. You can install GRUB to your hard drive by following these instructions:
