    Question download problems

    i have downloaded software from the internet but i have no idea on how to install it on my system.. the app i downloaded was gtkpod 2.0.2. so i can manage my ipod on ubuntu. when i downloaded the one from the ubuntu software centre and tried to load my ipod it said it couldnt mount it. i need help on how to install source code from the internet and why my ipod wont mount O_o

    unless the version of gtkpod is different than the one in the repos then installing from source will not help you. Check out this link for help and other programs for ipods on ubuntu https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PortableDevices/iPod . If this don't help maybe someone with more experience with gtkpod can provide a solution.
