Hey all,
I'm servicing a Dell Dimension 4500 that's running Ubuntu 10.04 with the lubuntu-desktop packages applied. Everything seems to work well enough until we try to right click anything, at which time the window focus goes completely berserk, as if it were being repeatedly clicked on, and it doesn't stop at all.
Unplugging the mouse and plugging it back in doesn't help. Left clicking doesn't help. Focusing with the keyboard doesn't help. Because of this behavior, it's very annoying to work in the LXDE desktop. The GNOME desktop doesn't exhibit this sort of bizarre behavior at all.
This can't be a hardware issue, as the mouse works fine on other computers. This may perhaps be a bug or issue with LXDE? I'm just a little bit puzzled here. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could've been causing this behavior with clicking, and will upgrading to Ubuntu 10.10 (or later) help fix the issue?
