Why is there no "Configure Screensaver" button after all these years?

I'm referring to a button to configure specific screensaver parameters, such as the actual text in the 3d text screensaver... as you can in windows for example

The package xscreensavers should still have this type of configuration button.

Ive never really used ss's though.
