Evolution Email - Proxy settings not working

i am using evolution mail since long and it works perfectly fine for my pop3 / imap mails in direct internet connection.
in office i have to connect thru proxy server. i have it pre configured and apply it system wide once i connect in office.
everything seems to be working fine but evolution says unable to connect to host.
i have also tried manual proxy settings in evolution, still it doesnt connect. the only hitch is in office i have to go to web mail as evolution doesnt seem to recognise...

    any help to configure ?

Re: Evolution Email - Proxy settings not working

I have the same problem. In office I use ntlmaps to authenticate via an MS Proxy Server. Everything is fine, except Evolution 3.2.1. Nor manual proxy setting, nor global proxy settings work. This is a bit strange, because previous versions of Evolution (in Unbuntu 10.04) worked fine. The problem started after upgrading to Unbuntu 11.10 and new (3.2.1) Evolution.
    Suggestions?
