Question win32 or win64 codec for Lucid 64 bit

I have searched the forum for the past hour seeking guidance on downloading and installing a codec that will provide audio for some channels on the Sopcast Player. I have succeeded in finding a bunch of dead links from five years ago. I run Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop AMD64. The rep at NDSportstalk.com (a channel I don't have sound for) says they run Windows media audio 9.0 and Windows media audio 10 professional. Any and all help is appreciated.
