DVD problem

Hey Ubuntu Forums
I apologize if this is then the wrong section i didn't know which to put it in.

I'm having a problem installing ubuntu now for some reason, im not sure whats causing this problem.
My DVD drive works perfectly, but for some strange reason, i cant install ubuntu, so I've had to revert back to windows. Last time i tried it kept giving me squashfs errors

Hopefully somebody will know a solution

Quick search throws another post.. See this post suggests the drive might be struggling to read rewritable disks.

Check you're using a good quality disk and validate the image when you written it.
