Darter Ultra no battery life

My Darter does not turn on unless it is plugged in. When I turn it on and pull the plug the battery is instantly dead.

Most recent version of Ubuntu installed.

Anyway to adjust battery life or purchase new battery? The latter being a last option.

Is your Darter still under warranty? If it is, I would recommend that you contact System 76 by e-mail and discuss this with them. I could possibly be fixed under warranty.

When you plug in your Darter, does the power manager application recognise your battery?

This may be stating the obvious, but have you confirmed that the battery is firmly snapped into both clips?

I'm running Karmic Koala on the Darter Ultra.

I'll have to double check thos connections when I go home, but I am pretty sure it is connected.

The battery life was slowly declinging until it halted altogether and required being plugged in. This happened right after the warranty was up. Bad timing

Any thoughts?

Please contact me via email for those instructions. It isn't really the kind of thing I like to post on the forums, as it's not a great idea (for warranty reasons) for folks to arbitrarily open their computer and start disconnecting wires.

Like to keep CMOS resets on an as-needed basis as much as possible.
