I am using Ubuntu 11.04 on DELL XPS M1330. My home router is Billion BiPAC 7800N that support wireless N technology. My network connection stops randomly as I rebooted the laptop after installation....

Edit the VPN connection
Go to IP Settings tab (IP4Settings)

That is interesting since even with enabled SSL lftp could successfully login but it stucks in directory listing part when in passive mode lftp is going to get list of files.

I give up with lftp, finally get permission for SSH and now using rsync. gmargo, I m happy to continue working of lftp to find out the problem.

FireZilla is running on Linux box and works fine.

NcFTP installed and run using "ncftp -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD FTPNAME" and works without any problem. I could easily get directories list and CD to...

it is just ridiculous! on win box I can easily use powerful winscp and its built-in scripting to sync all of my files over FTP but in ubuntu after almost a week I even cannot use simple lftp command...

On my own box there is no firewall running (iptables -L) on server I dont think there should be any because I can connect to it using FileZilla or WinSCP (on my XP box)?

I tried to set "ftp:ignore-pasv-address" to on and off in /etc/lftp.conf file but noting different. any other alternative to lftp for ftp sync?
