    No, I initiated the conversation because he had an Ubuntu hat and was at a hamfest. I assumed we had two common interests. I have an Ubuntu sticker on my laptop and love having people ask about it.

    Just a little follow-up, EchoLink is not native to Linux so requires WINE (or other emulator). Echolinux is a similar Linux client and there is also QTel (QT EchoLink client, user mode only)...
