We must've seen the same sale haha.
Is there a working version of btnx for 13.04? I couldn't find it in the repositories.
EDIT: Before I completely forget, I'm on 13.04 64bit.
I recently bought an Anker High Precision Laser Gaming Mouse, but it has some very odd button-mapping on it, and was looking for some help...
Thank you for the mini-tutorial. That worked perfectly.
I have been booting my new computer with my external HDD for the past few weeks as the /home mount point, with few real issues. However, I recently picked up a new HDD to use as my computer's new...
Alright, looks like progress is being made. Removed the video card (a really nice EVGA GTX 560ti) and I can boot with the onboard video.
11.10. I've tried two different LiveCDs (And have successfully booted from it on my older laptop) and the USB. No luck yet.
Hey all, I'm trying to get my new computer up and running, and it's been giving me agita.
When trying to boot from the LiveCD, this is where I can get to, after which point the boot sequence...
In 10.10 (64 bit), everything has been going smoothly, up until tonight.
I booted up after dinner and Compiz (which had been working fine all day) refused to start. Now I'm stuck in that wonderful...
For the moment, it's Banshee over Exaile for a single reason: Banshee plays videos. I love Exaile's handling of playlists, while Banshee's isn't to my tastes as much. Plus, Banshee is supposedly...
Nautilus-Elementary basically sets out to eliminate wasted space and redundant icons in a Nautilus file browser window.

I've actually found Exaile to have a lot of the good parts of Amarok.
I've been having a problem ever since doing a clean install of 10.04... wonder if anyone else has been having it or knows an easy solution:
The output of the key combination: "fn+F4" (ie the key...
A thanks from me too. I've been looking for a way to do this for months now.
I still like the functionality of a dock, especially one that autohides. I use a pair of Docky docks (a places dock on the left of my screen, and a window manager on the bottom), which nets me a...
Have you installed the proprietary drivers for your video card yet?
Go to the Main Menu -> System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers and check to see if the video card driver is enabled.
FYI, after the latest kernel update, Docky now works like a dream again. Going one week without it proved quite difficult.
A new and interesting wrinkle in the problem, one which I think might be solvable with editing keyboard shortcuts (if only I knew how to do that)...
When I hit the fn+F4 key combination, the...
Docky stand-alone. I was surprised as well. Docky under 9.10 was stable like a rock.
I'm actually having some massive stability problems with Docky since I upgraded to 10.04. It seems to close every 15 minutes or so on me.
I've tried this on my DV3500, and unfortunately, that's not doing it. Even when the external screen is plugged in from before I turn the machine on, NVidia is able to recognize it, but can't toggle...
Update: No solution yet, but I tried installing the older NVidia Drivers (v173) without luck in resolving the fn+F4 toggle command.
However, I have been able to get an external monitor to come up...
I'm having the exact same problem on an HP DV3500. All the other fn+ keystroke commands work fine, but I can't get it to switch screen outputs either. Same NVidia driver version as well.
Bit of an odd problem I'd like to try to solve.
I have an HP Pavilion DV3500 laptop, and I was using it quite comfortably with my external monitor while running Karmic. However, under Lucid, the...
I use four workspaces, arranged in a square. I usually have one open for web browsing, one for work, one for music, and one for long-term processes that I need to let run for awhile. It's basically...
