One thing tho, I've been running this new Amsn now for a while and just for fun I took a look at the System monitor. Amsn took up approx. 500MB memory.

Well, you can't really. Only thing to do is start from scratch. Follow the how-to step by step, but when you configure something, it doesn't hurt to check for errors or missing libs when it's done....
Just remove the folders and symlinks. If you installed everything by default that would be:
/usr/local/games/enemy-territory
/home/*username*/.etwolf
/usr/bin/et
/usr/bin/etded

Take ownership of those folders. Open a terminal and do the following:
sudo chown -R *your_username*:*your_username* /folderJust enter the top folder (I believe it's called /nzb), the -R option...
So you run the file by doubleclicking it? Try to run it from the terminal, that way you can pick up errors as you go. I'm thinking this might mean your system lacks glib1.2 but we can't know for sure...
Try running it from terminal and see if it leaves any error messages.

Maybe you can force it by creating an autoexec.cfg. Go to your ~/.etwolf folder, create a new empty document, and place the following in it:

seta r_customheight "1080"...

Could you tell us what theme and wallpaper those are? And perhaps where to get them? ;) I'm a sucker for dark themes, although I'm looking at a very bright one at the moment. (burn my eyes!! :evil:)
